[Adjustment] word used in logistics and supply chain field.
Working in logistics and supply chain field, the word that I am going to describe now is "Adjustment" [Small change] that it will be used in warehouse very often.
Why?
Because, the inventories that are kept in warehouse will be probably in mystery of discrepancy. Concept of inventory is the actual physical inventories and inventories quantities account lists must be the same volumes.
When goods have been received into warehouse, the details of those goods are added into the warehouse management system [WMS] too. Logically, whatever the inventories have been touched by the operations such as receiving, staging, put away, picking, loading and shipping, all of movement transactions will be stored into system or some places will record them with hard papers or Microsoft Excel Office instead if they don’t invest the WMS software program.
When there are some SKU differ between both physical inventories and inventories lists account. The people who response in that warehouse have to find out how that discrepancy happens.
Finally, if there were the doubtful volume. They have to do adjustment the inventories variances in order to match them the same.
Here are some sentences below:
1] Normally, the inventories must be the same 100% between physical and system. If there were some different quantities. Firstly, the discrepancy will be reconciled and then eventually adjusted.
2] We can’t do any adjustment to the inventories without official approval from the authorized persons.
3] He made a major adjustment to the steering wheel of his forklift.

ผมยกตัวอย่างการใช้คำศัพท์คำว่า Adjustment เพื่อเป็นแนวให้กับท่านนำไปใช้กับงานของท่านหรือเหตุการณ์ต่างๆต่อไป
